Lordship Rec Wassail 2026
Overview
Order of events:
2-3pm Lantern making, face painting & wreath weaving in The Hub
3pm Assemble outside The Hub
3.15pm Procession to The Orchard
3.30pm Welcome, toast and singing around ‘Vivaldi’ the Wassail tree with members of the Tottenham Community Choir.
3.50pm Children hang ‘toast’ (fertility symbol) on branches of apple trees
4.00pm Make your way back to the Hub for warming refreshments, singing (with Hackney Songworks), storytelling & spoken word poetry by Abe Gibson, followed by live music.
4.45pm CLOSE
*MULLED CIDER, HOT SORREL (non alcoholic) and HOME MADE APPLEY BAKES AVAILABLE*
**BRING POTS TO BANG AND CASH FOR DRINK AND CAKE DONATIONS**
Come dressed for the weather with waterproof footwear, and please note the ground may be very boggy and unsuitable for buggies... please park your buggy in the Hub when going to the Orchard
We will be taking cash donations for Haringey Migrant Centre, who help some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people who live locally.
