Losing Control are pleased to partner with Acumen Academy UK to host a Teach Me Workshop focused on storytelling for change

*This event is ticketed and is on a pay as you can basis with a guide amount of £5 to help cover the cost of refreshment and snacks. Upon registration our events team will get in touch to arrange an invoice with the amount you wish to contribute.

The focus will be on building your ability to articulate a hopeful vision, speak across lines of difference, and move others into action. The workshop will be grounded in Marshall Ganz’s work on Public Narrative and the “story of self - story of us – story of now” framework. I appreciate that you will be starting from different places, some having done work on this topic, whilst others will be new to the topic – this will be a great opportunity to share your wisdom as well as receive it from others.

We will only get so far in a few hours, and the aim is to provide an opportunity to:

• develop how your own values, choices, and personal journey connect with the work you do

• explore a framework that translates your life-experience to connect with others and mobilise urgent action

• build a connection with each other, providing a foundation for peer-support, practice and feedback

This workshop will be delivered by Acumen Academy UK: connecting the people who are tackling our toughest social issues - and equipping them with the knowledge, skills and community to accelerate and sustain their impact.
