The Lost, Found & Told Digital Storytelling Project was developed by November Club and Hannah Fox in response to the COVID-19 lockdown, supporting Year 3 & 4 pupils’ emotional resilience and response to change, through animated storytelling and creative activities.

Delivered in partnership with Lowick & Holy Island CofE First School, Hugh Joicey CofE Aided First School, and Norham St Ceolwulf’s CofE First School in June/July, the project is now available to schools across the region from September as a creative resource supporting a recovery curriculum.

In this session, Louise Taylor (Participation Producer, November Club), Hannah Fox (Director & Animator) and Gwen Cockett (Northam First School), will share how they ensured the creative process best served the core aim of supporting emotional resilience, how teaching staff supported children’s engagement, and the impact the project has had on the children and their school communities.

Session facilitators

Louise Taylor-Asheg has 18 years’ experience working as a project manager and producer for a range North East arts and cultural organisations, including Sage Gateshead, Flo-culture, Opera Sunderland and Creative Case NORTH.Louise’s expertise is in building successful cross-sector collaborations and designing and implementing robust evaluation frameworks.  She is a trained Arts Award Advisor at levels Discover – Silver.

Hannah Fox works across art forms employing a practical, imaginative and original approach, engaging many diverse skills. She has worked with children of Primary and Secondary ages for many years on transition projects, literacy initiatives, whole school celebrations, carnival and performance, shadow theatre, animation, textiles, art and philosophy, crafts and total environments.
