*IMPORTANT*Most Fast Forward Festival sessions running in Moorgate have been embedded in timetabled sessions. You are welcome to book any sessions you are interested in and attend however in the case of overcrowding. please note that priority will be given to the students who are in the timetabled class.London Metropolitan University is presentingFast Forward Festivalthis year with the aim of supporting students into high skill, high impact, and highly paid graduate jobs.The festival runs from November 5th to November 30th 2018 and will include a wide range of exciting events including talks, workshops, panel discussions, careers advice, recruitment and volunteering fairs, taster sessions, successful alumni testimonials, training, interactive experiences, matchmaking between employers and new recruits and a host of other activities, alongside food and entertainment.Fast Forward Festival is aimed at all students and recent graduates from across the university, at all levels, who are interested in developing their careers and having fun at the same time!London Met is already amongst the top 30 universities nationally for improving employment prospects for graduates.Currently over 96% of our students are in work or further study six months after graduation according to the leading UK higher education survey of graduate employment.Fast Forward Festival is just one of many initiatives we are taking to improve our student's jobprospectseven further.The festival takes place at:Moorgate -  5th - 9th NovemberHolloway  - 12th - 16th November (Tues and Thurs will be main event days)Aldgate - 26th November - 30th November

Fast Forward Festival 2018

An exhibition to commemorate the trades and industries of Islington’s past For much of the 20th century, Islington was Home to industries now largely disappeared or disappearing - from printers to clockmakers and jewellers, Islington boasted many varied and skilled trades and professions. In 2018, it is hard to find evidence of many of these workplaces and industries. Lost Trades of Islington Exhibition celebrate Islington’s Industrial past and focus on the stories of those who worked in these ‘lost trades’. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the project 'Lost Trades of Islington,'has been the result of an exciting partnership between staff and volunteers from AgeUK Islington, Islington Local History Centre and staff and students from London Metropolitan University.
