On December 1st Lost Under Heaven will be hosting a self-promoted night at the White Hotel in Salford. 6 months have passed since we released our debut during which time the project that started as a dialogue between me and ebony, negotiating the world we live, has grown into a fully formed heavy pop outfit, giving form to the impulse Lost Under Heaven sung.
During these past months on the road we seen how significantly a space influences & shapes the behavior of an audience. So often generic cliché which dilutes the clamor of the new world LUH soundsytem: reinforcing the narrow parameters of experience through which we stumble in waking sleep.
With the White Hotel we have found a neutral space, with all the potential to be a temporary autonomous zone, untainted by commercial desire for growth & profit. A blank canvas that offers the freedom to curate a night of experimentation in form & expectation, offer a challenge to the congregation, an attempt at breaking the passivity of the fantastic mundane.
We have ensured the admission price is affordable (£5) & will be presenting any profits to the Partisian Collective; whom are raising funds to establish permanent space for independent, DIY, cultural and political activities in Manchester's center. We feel the culture of this city, country is in dire need of a place to voice an alternative to the cold hearted stupidity that defines this time.
This will be our last show of 2016, the rest of the month will be spent crafting new ammunition, reload for 2017.
