About this event

Community • Heritage

Have you noticed that outdoor curling is not as common as it used to be? Think of all those old pictures of people standing on frozen lochs, and the bonspeils. Did you realise that the last bonspeil was held over 45 years ago?

Rachel Hunt is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Humanities at the School of Geosciences within the University of Edinburgh. She will explain what all this means for the climate and global warming, and also how risk-averse society is nowadays.

Pre-booking is essential.

Please aim to turn up 10 minutes before the event.

We look forward to meeting you at the event!
