About Leonard & Co
Fresh from the critical success of her solo exhibition ‘In Catfood and Wine’, London-based contemporary artist Louise Howard returns with a striking new show: ‘Leonard & Co’.
The show highlights her signature fusion of realism and abstraction, brought to life through her moody, nuanced colour palette and masterful use of texture.
The title pays tribute to Louise’s long-time muse, her cat Leonard Cohen, who makes several appearances throughout the collection. His presence, alongside dogs, mice and other members of a whimsical menagerie, adds both intimacy and mischief to the body of work.
The evening will be hosted at The Ministry, a members’ club and creative space by the Ministry of Sound group. Housed in a beautifully restored Victorian printworks on Borough Road, the venue provides a striking backdrop for Louise’s bold and evocative works.
Following the exhibition, guests are invited to continue the evening in the main bar and terrace area, where a DJ will be playing and drinks are available at a cash bar.
In support of animal welfare, 10% of all sales on the night will be donated to Jai Dog Rescue, a UK-registered charity working to improve the lives of street dogs in Thailand.
