Event Information
About this event
Maybe perfection in a few open datasets isn't the goal and we should concentrate on removing barriers to data instead.
Chris Gutteridge is a developer at the University with a long track record for innovative developments in open access and open data. He was the lead developer for early versions of ePrints and created data.southampton.ac.uk which provides open access to a number of non-confidential administrative datasets at the University. He has won numerous national awards including the 2012 Times Higher Education Award for Outstanding ICT Initiative of the Year and the CILIP Jason Farradane Award for his outstanding contribution to the information profession in 2017.
