About this Event

Love Letter to the Earth - an online Retreat with Murray Corke 10.30am-4pm Sat 15 August

In this Climate and Ecological Emergency, our Retreat will focus on Love Letter to the Earth by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Thay calls on us to “understand the Earth as a living, breathing organism” so we can heal ourselves, our lives, the earth, plants, creatures and all the natural world.

Murray Corke will share healing ways of being as we learn about the challenge our children and grandchildren face.

• Mindfulness Meditation

• Dharma talk

• Walking Meditation

• Touching the Earth

One Booking per person please. We are not charging for this retreat. Instead Murray asks you to respond as you can to the June appeal from Sister Chan Khong:

"I will not ask for much, as I and my monastic siblings know that you might be struggling yourself. My request is that if you have a little bit to spare, you might consider offering one “handful of rice” each month. The Plum Village monastics live simply, our daily food budget is about £4 / person. £28 provides food for a monastic for an entire week.

Your gift - no matter how small or large - provides food and healthcare for Plum Village monastics worldwide ... while we spread the Dharma online and do our best to help ease the suffering in the world."

The doors are wide open for all our friends. We hope everyone young and old will feel regenerated through the explorations of the practice.
