In a year that has witnessed racist and divisive rhetoric on immigration from sections of the media and politicians, we want to celebrate the positive role that migration has played in this country.
The Windrush generation and countless other migrant communities have made vital contributions to modern Britain. From the NHS to education, construction to manufacturing, to the Notting Hill Carnival that we know and love.
At carnival, we recognise the many achievements of migrant communities and stand resolute in the continued struggles against the hostile environment today.
