Florence Keith Roach has teamed up with brand new members club, The Library to debut her new play, Love to Love to Love you, a comedy about sex and disco. Complete with a complimentary cocktail from APEROL for every guest and entry to the big AFTER PARTY after the final Saturday show, the audience are invited to enter her unique world of lilac infused 1970's disco. Responding to the 19th century Arthur Schnitzler (1st May 1862 - 21st October 1931) play, La Ronde, Keith- Roach has turned the original on its head by appointing its women as the sexual predators and the men as their prey. Set within 24 hours, we witness six characters having six successive sexual encounters. Drawing on excess of every kind, we are privy to moments of extreme intimacy, and extreme abandon; a veritable whirlwind of random sexual trysts, which all become exercises in deception and play-acting. The inextricable link between sex and human existence is reexamined through the eyes of the modern young woman. But to what extent their sexual prowess brings them satisfaction, becomes the focus of the piece. And the relentless tussle of traded favours begin to comment on today’s mindless consumerism and our obsession with the perpetual portrayal of having a ‘good time’ and living the ‘good life After each performance, you are invited to explore the club, drink in the pop up cocktail bar on the club's roof and dance beside the ENO's classical dome, for an evening of multi sensory satisfaction.
