Ideal for two people, we offer a one or two night Escape, with up to 2 guided trail runs in the Forest of Bowland AONB. This incredible area is located within a few minutes of the iconic and magnificent Pendle Hill.

Your guided trail running Escape will involve exploring some truly stunning off-road environments – each day has the option of sampling the menu at one of numerous delightful cafes. We have got so many great routes and fabulous landscapes to share, you’ll not want to go home …

About your guide and host, Rodger

As a passionate trail runner, Rodger's spent over 20 years building up a vast network of intricate trails, mainly in the North West of England, and has been guiding groups and individuals on unique routes for more than 15 years. He's a qualified BTF Level 3 coach with a valid ITC outdoor first aid certificate and takes people’s safety seriously. Definitely a people person, he enjoys providing high quality, friendly, fun and appropriately challenging Trail Running Escapes.

Ability Level

While some background in running and trail running may be beneficial there is no minimum requirement for one of our Escapes. As its your own bespoke trail running holiday, Rodger can adapt the runs to suit your fitness or ability level.

Accommodation

As well as amazing guided trail runs, we’ll provide the perfect accommodation. You can stay in a private double or twin bedroom with private bathroom and we'll put a great spread on for breakfast each morning. Later in the day, you have the option to walk into the village for a lovely evening meal.

At your leisure, whether early in the morning or after a fantastic guided trail run, you can relax by your very own stunning lake. There’s wonderful countryside on the doorstep but everyone looking to get away needs a great base, so that’s what we’re offering, right in the heart of Roughlee, Lancashire. It's a wonderful little village, with the fantastic Bay Horse Inn at its centre.

Cost

LTR Escapes start at just £95 per person, per night (2 night stay).
Includes accommodation, breakfast & your personal trail running guide.
