An interactive strategising evening with keynote speech by academic TBC
Supported by Dr. Victoria Showunmi of IoE, whose work focuses on black girls’ well-being, leadership and identity.
In the wake of the election of Donald Trump and Brexit, and the increasing normalisation of xenophobic, misogynistic rhetoric in the UK and beyond - teachers, school leaders, university educators are asking - what can we do?
At Fearless Futures, we believe educators must move swiftly and decisively to resist these disturbing trends - to ensure their students are equipped to challenge and disrupt the growing intolerance and division in the communities they live in.
The evening will begin with a brief keynote speech by an academic (TBC) and will then move into a highly interactive workshop - with a concrete focus on actions individual educators can take back to their institutions to continue developing their anti-racist, feminist practice and continue the charge!
Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
