This course explores how regulations in residential childcare and supported accommodation can be used to evidence, protect, and strengthen love-led practice, rather than restrict it. Participants will learn how the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), Supported Accommodation Standards (2023), and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) connect to relational, child-centred care. Through interactive discussion and reflection, the training highlights the difference between defensive compliance and defensible practice, empowering teams to approach inspection and oversight with confidence and authenticity.

Understanding how regulations can evidence Lovin’ Care, this course shows how regulations can support, not restrict, love-led practice. Participants will:

  • Understand how Children’s Homes Regulations, Supported Accommodation Standards, and SCCIF connect to Lovin’ Care.
  • Distinguish between defensive compliance and defensible, relational practice.
  • Gain confidence to evidence Lovin’ Care to Ofsted, commissioners, and inspectors.
  • Why it matters: Regulations are not barriers; they provide the framework that protects and evidence Lovin’ Care.

Your trainer, Carla Keyte, brings extensive expertise in safeguarding, quality assurance, and compliance across the residential childcare sector. With a career spanning role as Registered Manager, Head of Care, and Head of Quality and Compliance for an organisation overseeing over 30 homes rated as Good and Outstanding, Carla offers deep operational insight and strategic leadership.
