Low Carbon Heat Workshop ABERDEEN
Event Information
Description
The Heat Network Partnership are providing two free 1/2 day workshops in Aberdeen in February and in Stirling in March 2018 to support home builders in engaging with low carbon heat, what benefits it can bring and how to develop a strategic approach to district heating implementation.
The workshops will include:
- An introduction to low carbon heat
- Planning policy context
- Feasibility studies and design implications for district heating
- Case studies of existing district heating networks
- District heating supplier networking
Speakers include:
- Drew Murphy, Zero Waste Scotland
- David Dunne, Aberdeen City Council
- Chris Asensio, Carbon Change
- Jody Pittaway, SSE
- Ian Booth, Aberdeen Heat & Power
The workshops will be relevant for organisations involved in both private and social housing development. They will focus on both the planning elements of district heating schemes and also consider some high level technical aspects. We would encourage each organisation to send up to two representatives whose role(s) cover these elements.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
