About this event

Other

Approximately one in five children in the UK is experiencing common mental health problems, including anxiety, depression and trauma. These difficulties can increase vulnerability to exploitation and offending by affecting decision-making, emotional resilience, and social relationships. Without early intervention and support, young people struggling with mental health challenges can be drawn into offending or exploited by criminal networks. These workshops are designed to provide frontline professionals with intervention ideas to support children and young people under a CBT umbrella.

The workshop will be a full day (9.30 - 3.30pm) and provide attendees with an understanding of CBT, the premise of CBT and some cognitive behavioural approaches to integrate into their workplace. All participants will be provided with an electronic toolkit of resources to utilise. The workshop will provide opportunities for group discussions to consider the application into their specific settings.

This workshop is designed for those offering interventions to children and young people across a variety of settings, there will therefore be opportunities within the training to consider the implementation of these interventions across different settings. The workshops will be facilitated by HCPC registered Psychologists and are aimed to be opportunities for discussions, reflections and will be space to ask questions about the application of all discussions.

Please note the minumum number of sign ups for this session to run is 20. If less than 20 people are signed up in advance of the session, it will be cancelled.
