WoWFest19 Presents: Lowborn Writing Workshop with Kerry Hudson

Kerry Hudson, award-winning novelist (Tony Hogan Bought Me An Ice-Cream Float Before He Stole My Ma), delivers a workshop on writing non-fiction. In her most recent book Lowborn, Kerry journeys through her own childhood poverty, exploring what it means to be poor in Britain today. Free to attend, registration required.

Writing on the Wall invites you to our 20th annual festival, under the theme: 'Where Are We Now?

Change is in the air. All that is solid, like the icecaps, is melting into air. Things fall apart - can the centre hold? The rich are getting richer, but otherwise uncertainty is the order of the day; Brexit, climate change, class, feminism, gender, race, populism, fake news, digital surveillance, and more, much more, are changing and challenging all our old conceptions. The stage is now set for WoWFest19 to seek answers to the question...Where are we now?
