Part of the Outdoor Partnerhip's launch of Intro Sessions for Beginners - opening doors to the outdoors!

Looking for a guided beginner friendly day out in the hills? Join us for a lowland walk. Ages12+ welcome.

What to expect:

  • 10am – 3pm
  • Less than 10km, less than 400m elevation
  • Easy/moderate – suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and comfortable walking.
  • A relaxed pace with time to enjoy the views, take photos, and soak up the mountain air.

For £5 per person, you’ll get not only a safe and well-planned day in the hills, but a guide who’ll bring the mountains to life with stories, local insight, and encouragement every step of the way.

To make the most of your day, please bring:

  • Sturdy walking boots or shoes with good grip (no trainers).
  • Layered clothing – the weather can change quickly in the mountains.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers.
  • Hat and gloves – even in summer, it can be breezy on the ridge.
  • Packed lunch and snacks to keep your energy up.
  • Plenty of water (at least 2 litres), plus a flask of warm drink.
  • Small backpack to carry your bits and pieces.
  • Sun cream, sunhat & sunglasses
