Rob Alexander, Head of Hybrid @ LPS
Originally from Leeds, Rob Alexander moved to London nearly a decade ago but proudly retains his northern roots. With degrees in Drama and Media from Huddersfield and Manchester universities, Rob has spent over 16 years inspiring young people through the arts, helping them find their voice on stage and beyond. Alongside this creative work, he has over eight years’ experience in pastoral care—a role that continues to be a source of real fulfilment.
Rob took up the reins of the Hybrid stream at London Park Schools in September 2025, drawn by the opportunity to lead a model that blends the independence of online learning with the connection and community of in-person teaching. With his background in both pastoral care and creative education, he is passionate about ensuring that wellbeing, engagement, and progress sit at the heart of every student’s experience.
Outside school, Rob is a loyal Leeds United supporter, an enthusiastic jogger around South London with his four-legged companion Mylo, and a self-confessed foodie who loves discovering new restaurants with friends and family.
Jamie Whiteside - Director of Hybrid, Dukes Education
Jamie is a highly experienced senior leader in the independent education sector.
Prior to joining Dukes, he was Senior Deputy at Portland Place School where he was instrumental in the founding of its highly successful hybrid school. He also has experience in leading whole school teaching and learning improvement, school administration, timetabling and driving innovation.
With a background in Computer Science teaching as well as educational technology training, Jamie is well placed to lead organisational change in schools through staff engagement and evidence informed CPD.
He is excited to be able to bring all that he knows into the establishment of the first Hybrid@ model for Dukes Education.
Ambreen Baig - Director of Hybrid, Dukes Education
Ambreen has been a Teacher of English for 20 years. After 13 years of teaching in a girls’ grammar school in North London, and consistently achieving outstanding results, she moved to the independent sector and gained experience dealing with students in a mixed-ability setting. She worked as an AQA Examiner for English and delivered the borough of Barnet’s GCSE English revision course for all schools for a decade.
She moved to Portland Place as Head of Year 12 and was one of the founders of the award-winning Portland Place Hybrid School, becoming the Head of Hybrid School - in charge of the day-to-day running and supporting the students, families and staff with an impeccable, high-quality service.
She is now Director of Hybrid Schools for Dukes Education and is excited to expand this innovative project so more students can benefit from it.
