Marking 10 years since the death of JG Ballard, we're delighted to welcome Jonathan Romney (Sight & Sound, Observer, Film Comment, Screen), film critic and author of the legendary Guardian column End Zone, to reflect on David Cronenberg's controversial adaptation of the great writer's most unsettling novel, as well as his own meeting with Ballard in Cannes for the film.
