The London School of Architecture Collective Peer Development programme is for all those concerned with the built environment and the future of cities.
This talk, led by Dennis Austin, Co-Founding Director of daab design, will provide a dual aspect perspective of collaborative working between small and large practices. The CPD will touch on the ins and outs of partnering between practices: what to look out for; how to clarify scope division; how to manage workflow and maintaining a common focus for project delivery.

Dennis Austin, co-founding director of daab design
Dennis co-founded daab design Architects in 2014. Trained in NYC and with over 30 years of experience building award-winning projects in Europe and North America, Dennis has enjoyed the cultural richness of living and practicing in New York, Paris and London. He believes that fundamental to a successful building is an earnest collaboration between Client, Architect, Engineer and Contractor.
Prior to creating daab design Dennis was an Associate Partner at RSH+P where during his 17 years he led large complex projects from design through to construction, notably Heathrow Terminal 5 and Geneva Airport as well as a series of projects in Washington DC and NY.
Having worked in acclaimed practices such as Richard Rogers, Paul Andreu, Santiago Calatrava and Rafael Viñoly; Dennis possesses invaluable experience in managing Client’s needs, design leadership, technical problem solving and creating exceptional spaces for people to enjoy.
Dennis has a BArch from NYIT, is a licenced Architect in the State of New York and is NCARB accredited.
