Description

Join us for the last gardening session of 2016! Wednesday 7th December, 1230-1330.

Whether you’re a keen gardener or a newbie, everyone is welcome! At our last session our gardeners were able to get stuck in by collecting seeds from various plants, picking raspberries, trimming hedges and weeding...you can choose to do as much or as little as you’d like!

We will meet at the King James Street community garden at 1230, which is run by Bankside Open Spaces Trust. The garden is a 1 minute walk from the Student Centre just off of Borough Road

Come along to get involved:

  • Learn about and help develop plans for a new wildlife and biodiversity garden at LSBU
  • Get your hands dirty
  • Grow your own vegetables
  • Learn about plants that are good for bees
  • Help build a bug house
  • Grow herbs you can use for cooking
  • Learn about fruit trees
  • Learn how to increase biodiversity and wildlife in your garden (or on your balcony or window ledge!)

Gardening is a great way to meet new people, exercise, de-stress, and help green up your local environment. Come along for 15 minutes or as long as you can spare! Gloves and tools will be provided. Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. The session is limited to 15 people so please sign up now to book your slot!
