Event description

Description

Investment will drive your startup's growth, but how do you get it?

We're excited to be hosting Leila Zegna, Founding Partner at Kindred Capital and Ross Bailey, Founder and CEO of Appear Here who will be sharing some really valuable advice for you all! This is an event not to be missed!

Leila will be covering her experience as an investor and giving tips about how founders should approach raising:

  • How should you think about prospecting funds?
  • How should you go about getting intros?
  • Getting into fundraising mode vs. not
  • What questions should you be ready for?
  • What due diligence folders to have at the ready?

She'll also be providing a background into the economics of venture capital funds, a rarely discussed and poorly understood topic. And providing a VC perspective about what they have to prove to their investors (Limited Partners in the VC fund) and how that affects which startups are right for VC.

We'll then have a fireside chat with Ross, who will provide the founder vantage point and discuss more about how to best position yourself for a successful raise.

Attendees will also be emailed a free Kindred guide to Fundraising 101 following the event.
