Did you enjoy the London Short Film Festival back in January? Rather than wait a full year for the next one, you can join us in the summer sun (yes, it’s gonna be a hot one, so we’ve been told!) in the English countryside for a short film retreat. Join a host of filmmakers, industry partners and live entertainment for a weekend of film, discussion and networking, all in the beautiful idyllic surroundings of the Darent Valley, just 30 minutes from Central London.
Taking place at the Quadrangle Trust , a collection of Victorian farm buildings built in 1870, including a majestic timber roofed hay barn for the main sessions, in Shoreham, Kent.
Confirmed for sessions:
•Andrew Kotting (This Filthy Earth / Swandown)
•Dexter Fletcher (Wild Bill)
•Gillies MacKinnon (Hideous Kinky / Small Faces
•Roger Hyams (script editor – Kelly + Victor, Amber Films)
•Julia Jones (Deliverance film PR – The Look of Love, Lore)
• Caroline Hewitt (Producer - The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Bright Young Things)
•London Film School
•Digital Bootcamp (Hosted by James Mullighan)
•LOCO Comedy Film Festival
•The Cabinet of Living Cinema / Making Tracks [Whirlygig Cinema]
•David Leister’s Kino Bingo
•Saturday night banquet
•Happy hours, incl. Shooters in the Barn
This is a new kind of film festival, inspired by the Quadrangle Documentary Film Festival (taking place at the same location in September, for its third year), as well as drawing on LSFF Director Philip Ilson’s work with the rural aspects of the Branchage Film Festival in Jersey using alternative sites to create a new film experience.
Tickets are priced at £80 and can be purchase here (price includes 2 nights of camping, 15 events, networking drinks and Saturday night banquet)
This event is kindly supported by the Quadrangle Trust
