Description

LST Summer School 2018

Join us for four days of engaging teaching at the LST Summer School this July. This is an opportunity to learn from world-class lecturers, whether it's to get a taste of theological education or take some time to invest in some vocational training or professional development.

Each morning we'll be gathering together for worship and Bible teaching, before breaking into groups for the teaching streams. The theme of the morning sessions is 'Miracles: Then and Now' and these will be lead by Prof. Graham Twelftree. The rest of the teaching will take place in two streams of five sessions and you can choose one option from Stream A and one from Stream B - except for Broader, Deeper, Wider, Higher, which runs over both.

Session availability:

  • Deeper, Higher, Broader, Wider - Expanding Horizons in Music for Worship (Runs over streams A and B)
  • Miracles in Acts (A or B)
  • Spirituality and Counselling (A or B)
  • Educating character: The contemporary challenge in churches, schools and theological schools (A)
  • Wholeness, Holiness and Action: Christ-Shaped Conversations with Ethics (B)
  • The Five Solas of the Reformation (B)
  • Christian Mindfulness and Photography (B)
  • Journeying with Jesus: A guided retreat (A)

The week will start on Tuesday 3 July at 10.45am and run until 3pm on Friday 6 July. The intervening days start at 9am and close at 5pm, plus evening sessions 7.30-9pm.

Programme tickets include lunch, with dinner and bed & breakfast available separately.
