Lucas Oakeley is a writer and journalist who has written for a range of publications, including GQ, Vogue, National Geographic, The Guardian, The Economist, Esquire, and Time Out.
He has had short stories and poetry published in The Fence, Ephemeras, Helicon Magazine, and Reasons To Be Cheerful.
His debut novel, Nearly Departed, was chosen as the LOVE READING Romance Book of the Month and has received positive reviews in The Sunday Times, Esquire, Service95, and Daily Mail.
Freya Bromley is a writer living in London. Her memoir The Tidal Year was published by Coronet in 2023 and was shortlisted for the Nero Book Awards. She’s written for titles including Condé Nast Traveller, Financial Times and National Geographic Traveller. Freya also writes in her Substack “Field Notes”.
Her upcoming novel, A Real Piece of Work, follows Nola, a woman in her early thirties whose life changes when the memoir she writes about her sister Darina’s sudden passing catapults her to critical acclaim. It was won by Hutchinson Heinemann in a three-way auction and set for publication in 2026.
