Lucian Freud
Overview
Please note: Booking is Essential
From his early finely painted, hyper-realist portraits to his later heavily-impastoed expressionistic ones, Lucien Freud always had the power to disturb and shock. Freud’s best works, which can express extreme emotion and manage to ‘get under the skin’ of his subjects, are those portraits of close friends and family where the emotional involvement becomes tangible. Join Art Society lecturer Frank Woodgate to find out more.
