LUCKY PENNY: On his 40th birthday, Thomas believes he has found a lucky penny that will flip his streak of misfortune, but when his brother, Andy, turns up unannounced with a gift, that belief is tested to the limit.

Produced by Hartlepool’s own filmmakers’ collective, In The Frame, with the support of local and regional organisations, this community-centric short film bought together seasoned creatives and emerging talent providing the opportunity for anyone to get involved with a production, regardless of their experience in film. Shot on the Headland during the summer, it blended mentorship and hands-on involvement creating an inclusive environment to further support regional learning and creative expression.
