About this event

Lucy May Walker's monthly Writer's Round is an afternoon of original music in the style of a Nashville writers round where 3 featured artists sit on the stage at the same time and take turns in playing their songs & telling the stories behind them. Discover your new favourite artist in an intimate, cosy setting by the seaside.

August Artists:

Lucy May Walker (Host)

Folkestone based Singer/Songwriter Lucy May began her music career by busking on the streets and train stations of London. She was discovered there by BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine who helped catapult her career by inviting Lucy to perform live on both his Radio and TV show. Lucy May has supported the likes of Lucy Spraggan, Tony Hadley & Texas as well as selling out numerous UK tours of her own.

Hannigan

Hannigan is a travelling singer songwriter. True to his English-Irish roots, he has created a unique sound only identifiable as his own – acoustic soulful folk with influences of surf rock.

His earnest and anecdotal writing style carries you like a backpack on an adventure; a journey of heartache, hope, and healing. Eyes will well, feet will tap, and heads will bop.

Izzy Woodland

Folk-pop singer/songwriter from Dover - Described as an artist that has “such a way with words” by BBC Introducing’s Abbie McCarthy, Izzy Woodland creates an adaptable listening experience for anyone and everyone, drawing inspiration from her own personal experiences and the world through her lens.

What time are doors?

The doors will open at 3:30pm. Please arrive promptly to get a good seat and for us to start the show on time at 4pm.

What if I'm running late?

As I will be doing both the doors and also performing, late arrivals do make it tricky for the event to run smoothly so please try to arrive well before 4pm if you can. If you are running late, please just wait for an appropriate moment (during applause) to sneak in and find yourself a space :)
