About this event
Lucy May Walker's monthly Writer's Round is an afternoon of original music in the style of a Nashville writers round where 3 featured artists sit on the stage at the same time and take turns in playing their songs & telling the stories behind them. Discover your new favourite artist in an intimate, cosy setting by the seaside.
September Artists:
Folkestone based Singer/Songwriter Lucy May began her music career by busking on the streets and train stations of London. She was discovered there by BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine who helped catapult her career by inviting Lucy to perform live on both his Radio and TV show. Lucy May has supported the likes of Lucy Spraggan, Tony Hadley & Texas as well as selling out numerous UK tours of her own.
Sansha is a South East London-based singer-songwriter and producer known for her electronic pop music and theatrical, comedic live performances. Live, Sansha has been described as a 'Victoria Wood meets Lily Allen' hybrid who on the synthesiser, launchpad and trumpet delivers her unique original songs with a charismatic ease.
Her unique blend of storytelling, humor, and bell-like vocals has led to radio airplay on stations including BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, as well as two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
"Deliciously Soulful" Leo Ulph (BBC)
Samuel's soul voice and classic RnB sound have seen him sell out shows across the UK and make waves with over 500k streams on Spotify and radio play on the BBC, throughout Europe, the United States and Australia.
Cene Magazine's Joe Bill writes "Blessed with soaring vocals that feel like a warm jumper keeping you safe from the cold"

As I will be doing both the doors and also performing, late arrivals do make it tricky for the event to run smoothly so please try to arrive well before 4pm if you can. If you are running late, please just wait for an appropriate moment (during applause) to sneak in and find yourself a space :)
The gig will finish just before 6pm, however the venue will remain open and we would love for you to stick around for a drink with us after the show.
