LUISA OMIELAN ANNOUNCES ‘MONTHLY RESIDENCY AT OLD ST RECORDS SHOWCASING NEW ‘FRESH’ TALENT
Shoreditch's newest bar, Old St. Records, has collaborated with one of the UK’s hottest new comic talents, Luisa Omielan, to utilise their gorgeous basement space to host a monthly residency giving Luisa and guests a platform to try out and perform new material at Luisa Omielan’s ‘Fresh’.
To kick things off, Luisa will cherry-pick her favourite new ‘fresh’ talent to perform alongside her at the venue – providing an intimate chance to check out some of the comedy circuit’s prospects way ahead of the pack. Guests will be held secret until the night of the performance to add some intrigue to proceedings.
For those looking to expand their comedy horizons but also make a proper night of it, Capital FM’s Kat Shoob – host of Vodafone Big Top 40 - will take to the decks afterwards until 1am, playing dirty pop and sexy RnB. Luisa has also curated a special ‘Fresh’ £6 bespoke cocktail menu which will be available all night.

What Would Beyoncé Do?! is the most successful debut show to come out of the Edinburgh Fringe, a phenomenal word of mouth smash hit. Luisa recently brought it back for one night only in a sold out show and after party at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. There is nobody on the stand-up circuit like Luisa Omielan. And there are no stand-up comedy audiences like a Luisa Omielan audience. Her breakthrough show What Would Beyonce Do?! had fans dancing in the aisles as Omielan clambered through the stalls. Her 2014 follow-up Am I Right Ladies?! was met with equal critical acclaim and party filled audiences, with a joke from the show about the infamous thigh gap going viral, notching up 40 million views to date.
Tuesday 8th November 2016. More dates TBA.
