Description

Something truly spectacular is coming to Barnsley this September! Prepare to be amazed and touched by a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour of the Luminarium. Produced by Architects of Air, Market Gate Car Park will be taken over by 'Pentalum' – a monumental inflatable structure. Not to be missed!

A limited number of pre booked tickets are available via this website for priority admission every half hour between 1pm and 5.30pm. These tickets are only available online until 3pm on the day before. All remaining tickets will be available each event day from the box office on site. The box office will only sell tickets for that day and will not be able to offer advance sales.

Tickets are priced at £3 per person plus booking fees of £1.37 for online bookings. Admission is free for those aged 3 and under.

A visit to the Luminarium will typically last around 20 minutes.

The event is accessible to wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties. Whellechairs are allowed in the space. Unfortunately Guide Dogs are not allowed in the space as their paws could damage the Luminarium. Experience also indicates that they are also likely to feel very uncomfortable inside. Staff can be made available to act as guides and assist any visitors in this regard, so please contact the event organisers if required.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum 4 children per adult). Pushchairs are not allowed in the space and will need to be left in the reception tent. School groups are requested to try and achieve a ratio of 5 pupils per adult if possible.
