Lunar Cycles: An Evening of Poetry

Join the Lunar Society as we celebrate midwinter with poetry and story-telling. On Wednesday 21 January 2026 (6-8pm), Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath will host our next event: an evening of reading, reflection and creative inquiry - Lunar Cycles.A gathering inspired by the Society’s legacy of intellectual exchange and experimentation, you can expect:

• Readings from a diverse line-up of acclaimed and emerging voices, including Ayan Aden, Bohdan Piasecki, Gregory Leadbetter, Isabel Galleymore, Kevin Mills, Luke Kennard and Tom Proverbs-Garbett (final programme subject to change).
• Conversations exploring the creative process and, for those who wish, the possibility of contributing to a collective “found poem.”
• Q&A with the poets, opening dialogue on inspiration, craft, and the intersection of poetry with ideas that shape our world.
• Networking and Book Table before and after the event.

So, warm yourselves by the hearth as we mark the winter solstice in what's sure to be an intimate, engaging and profound evening with friends old and new.

Parking

There is plenty of parking in Kings Heath such as Institute Road (Institute Rd, King's Heath, Birmingham B14 7DD), Kings Heath (High St, King's Heath, Birmingham B14 7JT) and Bank Street (King's Heath, Birmingham B14 7BH). Charges do apply.
