Lunar Ecotherapy (with Charlotte Louise Venkatraman) (CPD training)

‘The moon is as ancient

As time itself

And still no older than a month.’

Whilst most of us are squeezed day to day into linear time for work, family or other demands, the timing of nature is cyclical.

Early concepts of time were agricultural and seasonal; our ancestors watched buds spring up, grow to maturity, fade and die back into the earth, only to reappear again in spring. The sun came up in the morning, over our heads and underneath us, before reappearing at dawn.

The moon appeared as a thin sliver, waxed to fullness, then faded into absence, to return again.

Over two hours, we will explore our associations to lunar time, learn a little tarot and some principles of nature magick. This will give us the opportunity to integrate our sense of spirituality with the natural rhythms of the land.

Please collect a few items from nature (2-5 small things) that make you think of the moon.

Although this event is part of the Ten Directions training course for ecotherapy practitioners, anybody can book and take part in this public online event. If you are interested, please do buy a ticket.

Please note that we will not be recording this online event. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds to people who do not show up assuming that they will get a recording.

As our events are interactive, we kindly request that attendees have their cameras switched on to engage with the group experience (unless of course you have technical difficulties).

CPD Event: This event counts as Continuing Professional Development for counsellors, therapists and others in helping professions. About Charlotte Louise Venkatraman

Charlotte Louise is a belly dancing former psychiatrist.

She blends aspects of myth, witchcraft, shamanism and tarot to therapeutic effect in her private practice and provides experiential workshops either online or face to face.

She was raised in witchcraft by her grandmother and has developed a lunar practice over several years, setting her life by the waxing and waning of this mysterious celestial presence.
