Join ParliOUT, ParliREACH and ParliAble for a “Lunch and Learn” with Kate Harrad, editor of “Purple Prose: Bisexuality in Britain”, published 1 September 2016.
Kate will be joined by Jacq Applebee, editor of the book’s “Bisexual Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) People” chapter.
Purple prose is an accessible collection of interviews, essays, poems and commentary that explore topics such as definitions of bisexuality, intersections of bisexuality with other identities, stereotypes and biphobia.
Kate will be discussing the motivation behind creating this book, and her experiences of putting it together.
Jacq will be discussing her experience of editing the chapter on “Bisexual black and minority ethnic (BME) people”.
Kate and Jacq will also discuss common myths and perceptions about bisexuality that they have encountered in the process of putting together this book.
What is a 'lunch and learn'?
Our lunch and learn events are designed for members and friends of ParliOUT to meet informally and share their skills, knowledge and anything interesting over a lunch break (feel free to bring your refreshments along). It's completely open to you and a platform for us to share in each other's diversity.
How to book
If you would like to come along and hear from Kate and Jacq you can register your attendance on our Eventbrite page.
