Description

#CostsofLowAmbition

Too low ambition in the fight against climate change will be expensive in the long run and can have catastrophic effects on our planet. Together with the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), MEP and President of EUFORES Jeppe Kofod, is hosting a lunch-event to discuss the costs of too low ambition in the heating and cooling sector.

Earlier this year, the German Renewable Energy Association (BEE) published a report on the economic effects of the exchange of boilers in the residential sector. The report aims to demystify the idea that a simple boiler replacement would be appropriate to reach climate objectives and suggests using renewable energy instead.

Speakers and panelists will represent a variety of stakeholders: policy-makers, industry representatives and NGO representatives.

The event will take place on the 30th of January, in the European Parliament, in the Members Salon from 12.00 to 13.30.

Deadline for registration Monday 21st of January 2019
