Event description
Lunch and panel - Discussing diversity in FinTech with Monzo, Lloyds and Orrick

About this Event

This lunch time panel embodies inclusion, even down to the time of day we are hosting the event, which ensures working parents and carers who have commitments outside of work can still attend.

Join us in our discussion with Monzo, Lloyds and Orrick as we discuss what needs to be done to turn words into action when it comes to diversity.

After the panel you will enjoy a light lunch kindly provided by Orrick.Spaces are limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment.‍

On the panel:

Sheree Atcheson, Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Monzo - Listed as one of the UK's Top Most Influential Women in Tech & an international multi-award winner for her services to Diversity & Inclusion in industry. Sheree is the Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Monzo; Board-Appointed Global Ambassador, Women Who Code; Contributor, Forbes.

Nell Scott, Partner and Head of Fintech Regulatory in London at ORRICK - Nell would like to talk about their annual Diversity & Inclusion “Dive/In” Program. When Orrick Management Committee member and Diversity & Inclusion Co-chair Lorraine McGowen created Dive/In a decade ago to celebrate diversity and inclusion throughout every Orrick office, it was a novel law firm approach to raising awareness of how we all contribute to inclusion. Since then, it has been followed by many other firms and has become one of our traditions.

Kate Bohn, Accelerator & Incubator Lead, Group Transformation, Lloyds Banking Group – A finalist for the Women in Finance ‘Advocate of the Year’ 2019, as well as being listed in the 2018 Women in Fintech Powerlist, Kate has 20 years of Financial Services experience and is passionate about driving diversity and inclusion – she even has an Instagram account dedicated to this space (@kate_bohn). Having had a 10-year career in the Arts prior to her current path, she also brings additional colour and perspective to the discussion.‍‍

Moderated by Gemma Young, founder of @womenoffintech and DiversiTech Hub. Gemma has been at the front end of change in FinTech and speaks internationally about the importance of gender diversity. She is a mentor to many women in the industry and helps women return to work after a career/parenting break.
