Lunch & Fun - Hatfield
Event Information
About this event
Do you feel isolated, lonely and unconnected with your community?
We are really excited! With funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are able to offer 5 socially distanced picnic meet ups in guide with government guidelines. The ‘Lunch and Fun’ sessions are people with a lived experience of mental health challenges and will take place in: Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, Ware, Watford and Hatfield.
We are inviting 8 people to each picnic and will contribute a meal deal for each person and some extra nutritional goodies such as fruit. There will also be an opportunity to talk, discuss and problem solve – this will be supported by 2 Peer facilitators.
The first picnic will take place in Howe Dell Stream Woods. This will involve a socially distanced short walk meeting at Pearl Statue, White Lion Square, Hatfield, AL10 0JY and a picnic provided by Viewpoint.
Please bring along with you something to sit on (a picnic blanket etc) and a mask.
The food provided will be a supermarket 'meal deal' which includes a sandwich, crisps and a drink. Please provide any dietary requirements that you have, we will buy a selection of sandwiches.
If you require something specific please email info@hertsviewpoint.co.uk.
If weather doesn't permit a picnic we will have to cancel and rearrange, please keep an eye on your emails on the day.
