Lunch & Learn: Raising Voices in Research
Overview
Are you working in a primary care setting and want to know more about how to involve communities in research? Join us for an interactive ‘Lunch & Learn’ session introducing the Raising Voices in Research (RViR) programme.
What is RViR?
RViR is a Hampshire and Isle of Wight initiative designed to increase diversity and inclusion in health and care research by working with voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to engage under-served communities. Through co-produced resources like the Local Plan for Research, Communications Toolkits, and Research Adaptation Programme, RViR helps researchers make their work more accessible, relevant, and impactful.
RViR is funded by NHS England through the Integrated Care System Research Engagement Network (ICS REN). It is a collaboration between Action Hampshire, Engaging Communities Research Centre at the University of Winchester, NIHR/Universities Hospitals Southampton and the Hampshire and IOW ICB.
What will we cover?
The aim of this session is to introduce you to how RViR supports researchers and communities to get involved in research, to build trust and improve participation. We also want to hear from you about what RViR can do to support your own work. We particularly want to hear from those working in primary care settings and research, as they have been underrepresented in our work so far.
