On the 13th of January, we'll be joined for a hybrid Lunch & Learn by Orkideh, Fabio, and Abhishek: social anthropologists from the Department of Anthropology and Sociology at SOAS University of London.

Anthropology is often understood as the study of how people make sense of their own worlds. Across geographies, industry sectors, and peoples, it is increasingly coming to be recognised as the science that lends context. With their interdisciplinary backgrounds and research experiences across medicine, business management, and AI/robots, our three friendly anthropologists study the intersection of technology, enterprise, design, and health care.

During the hour-long session, they will talk about how an anthropological view can help organisations, such as yours, and discuss examples where founders and management have invested in blending big data on markets (or scale) with thick data (or immersive understandings of their users).
