Sustrans’ Leading the Way with Active Travel workplaces programme funded by the Public Health Agency (PHA) engages a number of major workplaces within Belfast including, Public Health Agency, Belfast City Council, Business Service Organisation, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Ulster University and the Department of Infrastructure. The aim of the programme is to promote and encourage active travel such as walking, cycling and use of public transport as part of the daily work or community commute to improve physical and mental wellbeing and to contribute to a greener environment.

The programme delivers a wide range of free events, confidence boosting activities, cycle training, information, advice and personal support to help staff make small but sustainable changes to their daily travel habits and leave the car behind more. https://www.sustrans.org.uk/NIWORKPLACES
