Lunchtime meditation sessions at the Multifaith Chaplaincy
Lunchtime Meditation: A series of six sessions offered on Mondays between 1pm and 2pm from September 22nd to October 27th - everyone welcome!
Overview:
The Multifaith Chaplaincy team are pleased to invite students and staff to join local Buddhist, Sophie Muir, for a series of lunchtime meditation sessions at the beginning of the new academic year.
Meditation is to rest in simplicity, with ease of presence, in the natural, unconditioned mind.
Practice methods include calming, through mindfulness of body and breath, sound and thought; and insight, through inquiring into moving and still mind - looking into tranquility, looking directly at awareness itself.
Meditation practice together supports us to cultivate a heart of compassion and understanding and can open us to great joy.
Practical details:
These meditation sessions will take place in the prayer and meditation room in the Penryn Chaplaincy, located in Tremough Barton Cottage 8. You can join Sophie for the whole series, or for one or more individual sessions.
