Biography:

Agatha Parkin – Violin

Agatha began playing the violin at the age of four. At ten, she led a group of young musicians in a Vivaldi concerto alongside Nicola Benedetti at Leeds Town Hall. She gave her first solo recital at thirteen at St Wulfram’s Church, Grantham, where she returned at sixteen to perform Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending. Her 2023 lunchtime recital at Nottingham Theatre Royal drew an audience of over two hundred. That same year, she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where she continues her studies with Rodney Friend. Recently, she was selected as one of only two string students to participate in an orchestral project at The Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, as part of the Academy’s Sir Elton John Global Exchange Programme.

Hayden Miller – Piano

Hayden Miller is from Houston, where he received a diploma in Piano Performance from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. A 2023 YoungArts winner, he also received top prizes in the Oberlin Piano Competition and Houston International Music Competition. His performances have been featured on multiple radio programmes, as well as at PianoTexas, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the International Florence Price Festival. He recently made his debut in Italy at the Brancaleoni International Music Festival. Hayden is the recipient of the WH and George Myddleton Award of the Royal Academy of Music, where he currently studies with Mei-Ting Sun.
