Biography:
Minah is a British-Korean pianist based in London. She graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a Master’s degree in Piano Performance, awarded with Distinction, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Gabriele Baldocci. Her studies were supported by The Tim and Jay Newling Scholarship and The Peter Harrison Charitable Trust.
Originally from Seoul, Minah began her musical training at an early age, winning several first prizes in national piano competitions in Korea. She began teaching in 2016, first in Seoul and later in London, working with students of all ages. Her teaching approach combines the discipline of the classical tradition with a personalised and engaging style, encouraging both technical skill and musical expression. Many of her students have achieved excellent exam results and developed a confident, lasting enjoyment of music.
As a performer, Minah has appeared at venues across Europe and Asia, including a sold-out recital at Ognisko Polski, St John’s Smith Square, St James’s Piccadilly, the Lansdowne Club, Royal Victoria Hotel, St James’s Church Paddington, the Old Royal Naval Chapel in Greenwich, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, as well as concerts in Riga, Rēzekne, and Seoul. She performs both as a soloist and in collaboration with instrumentalists, vocalists, and ensembles.
Minah has further developed her artistry through masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists including Pascal Rogé, Enrique Graf, Julian Jacobson, Peter Ovtcharov, Min Kwon, Martino Tirimo, Deniz Arman Gelenbe, and Mikhail Kazakevich. Known for her refinement, sensitivity, and depth of expression, she is equally committed to her work on stage and in the teaching studio.
