Event Details

Join us for an informal lunchtime seminar to introduce Eduardo Canteros who will be based at the Development Planning Unit (DPU) and the Urban Lab as a Bartlett Visiting Research Fellow from now until the end of March.  Eduardo will speak about his project entitled 'Urban values from a grassroots organisation in urban regeneration'.

Eduardo, who will be supervised by Alex Apsan Frediani (DPU) and Ben Campkin (UCL Urban Lab), is a sociologist and social worker who has recently submitted his thesis in architecture and urban studies. He has research interests in urban collective action, citizen participation, community expertise, and micro sociological approaches. His project at UCL will use qualitative methods to examine the values around which communities organise when they critique and reject regeneration proposals. The project will build on research conducted in Chile and so will involve a comparative dimension.

Lunch will be provided. You must be a member of the UCL community to attend. Please also join us the following day for another lunchtime seminar with Dr Beatrice de Carli, details through this link: http://lunchtimeseminar2.eventbrite.co.uk
