Introduction to Open Science Framework

Open Science Framework (http://osf.io) from the Centre for Open Science (COS) is a powerful new tool for supporting research here at the University of Edinburgh.

In this lunchtime session, Gretchen Gueguen (Center for Open Science) will tell you all you need to know about Open Science Framework: what it is, how it works, and why it will be an excellent addition to your research toolbox.

Spoiler! It’s a data sharing network designed to enhance collaborative research by providing centralized storage, integration, and sharing across the entire data lifecycle.

After Gretchen, Emma Wilson (UoE) will talk about her experience of using OSF for her projects: the benefits, the possibilities, the opportunities.

Gillian Currie and Eirini Theofanidou round off the session with an outline of the training they can offer for OSF beginners: get set up, get organised, get collaborating.
