About this event

Science & Tech • Science

Man versus Beast. Nature versus Nutrition. Farming versus Fauna. This is often the tenor in the popular mind when we conservation and farming are spoken of together. Voices get louder, temperatures get raised and battle lines get drawn.

However, this isn't how it has to be not how it has been historically. For centuries our food providers across the county have acted as stewards of nature and that is still the case today, for a vast number of farmers.

Using traditional farming methods and modern innovations, the impact and benefit that farmers can offer to wildlife is more than ever.

Tim Bevan, Lead Farm Advisor for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, will be giving a talk on how farmers and conservation can and are working together for the benefit of nature.
