About this event

Beavers have been extinct in the UK since the 16th Century - The time of The Tudors but since 2022 beavers have begun to be reintrdoduced in some parts of the country.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust have been running a feasibility study to assesses the viability of having wild-living beavers in Gloucestershire. This study has been done by carrying out biological, ecological, social and legal studies. And results are starting to come in.

Dee Durham, Beaver Feasibility Co-Ordinator for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, will be giving a talk on the current findings of the study and where the project to reintroduce beavers to Gloucestershire currently finds itself.
