Event description

Description

For all the cynicism it can induce, Christmas is often a happy time and a moment of a joy in a difficult world. It’s more than just an integral feature of the calendar: it’s one of British culture’s emotional high points.

Join Dr Martin Johnes from Swansea University as he unwraps Christmas and reveals how it’s changed in Britain from 1914 to the present day.

£2 per person. Advance booking advised. Pay on the day available.
(Please check this page before attending to ensure tickets are still available to purchase on the day).

This is a ‘Museum On Tour’ event for The Box, Plymouth.
