About this event

Museums can be viewed as repositories for old technology and innovation builds the future on this visible past. This talk will look at the legacy of great Sheffield knife makers Joseph Rodgers and George Wostenholm to show how the skills of the Little Mesters are alive today, how their knives combine form with function and how technology allows quality products to be produced consistently without losing the joys of being handmade in Sheffield.

Join the Immediate Past Master Cutler and the Mesters from Rodgers Wolstenholm Group, who are based on Kelham Island Museum's Little Mester Lane, for this informative talk.

Attendees can also purchase a pocketknife from the Mesters. The pocketknife's bear the *+ trademark, which has been in constant use by its makers since 1682.
